It has been one long week, yet the one that sped off like a ray of sunshine in changeable British summer And than, Saturday comes, gloomy, rainy, cold-ish, at least for a decent July…. Perfect for Wimbledon ladies finals, followed by an hour’s nap. Dreams and all
Do you do this sometimes? No rushing, no plans, slowly, wherever the route takes you? Do you have days of non-lists, no people to see, nowhere to drive? I cherish those moments. Like you, I also have a family, a job-am self-emplyed, after all, the best and worst boss in the world I work in three countries, not at the same time, obviously, but sometimes it feels like that….have daughter in sports training, family abroad, car that needs fixing, long overdue haircut….but today is not the day for a list, so will stop there. Just wanted to share how important I think it is for our sanity, wellbeing and health, to stop and reboot. At the very least, slow down.
Perhaps because through my work I see how much that element of life is lacking to the point of extinction. And because I know that a little stop will improve your quick step beyond recongnition later. Try it, it is a stairway to the sunny side of life.
